Anders Lind is a Contemporary Art Music Composer and Sound Artist from Sweden. His works have been performed and exhibited all over the world. He composes music for orchestras, ensembles, soloists, electronics and creates interactive sound art installations.
Since 2016 Lind has worked with a mobile phone orchestra (MPO) platform which he often involves in his performances. His MPO is developed to be a new performance practice for performing polyphonic electronic music in traditional concert settings.
Several compositions involving MPO and traditional orchestra, ensemble, soloist settings have been performed since. In a performance the MPO involves 20-60 youths, divided in six individual parts, performing using their smartphones as instruments. Specially developed animated notation gives performance instructions and conducts the MPO during a performance.
