Andrii Barmalii

– modern jazz with inspiration from jungle, drum’n’bass, rock and hip hop

Andrii Barmalii is a Ukrainian composer and performer who explores and documents the world through music that is sincere, simple, and at times, beautiful. Drawing inspiration from jungle, jazz, drum'n'bass, rock and hip-hop, his sound embodies a sensual electronic fusion that highlights the intertwining of machines and human destinies. Andrii has created numerous performances, showcased his music at various Ukrainian and international festivals, and released his debut album, "autoportrack," alongside his first music video for "Я нормально." He has contributed to theater projects such as "Safe Space," "Misto Marii: the Siege Diaries," and "Cabaret on the Border," while collaborating with ensembles like the Yevhen Puhachov Quartet. In 2024, he presented an immersive artistic act, "Do lia," featuring 24 artists performing his music.

Andrii has performed internationally, including in Berlin at the Art-Weapon, Ukrainian Sound Garden and Pop-Kultur festival, Amsterdam’s Milkweg, Liverpool’s XPRESIA festival, Avignon’s theater festival, and Vilnius’ Sirenos festival with the project “Misto Marii: The Siege Diaries.”

In the past two years, Andrii has achieved success in Ukraine and his European outreach is about promoting contemporary Ukrainian art, reflecting the modern Ukrainian identity and realities.

In 2025, Andrii and the team are planning the release of a new album and concerts in the capital of Ukraine and on the frontline.
