Maria Lui (Maria Usenko) is a vocalist, songwriter and producer from Kyiv. Maria develops neo soul and jazz culture in Kyiv, playing original music.
Her recent performances have had considerable success, in particular, in the walls of the world- famous Closer club in collaboration with the FUSION community, which loudly declares itself with powerful events in Ukraine and abroad. Maria constantly experiments with sound and collaborates with various musicians.
The Maria Lui Quintet, which consists of Oleksandr Yavdyk, Yevhenii Dubovyk, Stanislav Diachenko and Igor Voitsekhivskyi, play the english-speaking originals composed by Maria Lui (Maria Usenko), a vocalist, songwriter and producer from Kyiv. Their music is saturated with elements of improvisation, mixes hip-hoprhythms, neo-soul melodies and sound experiments, sometimes suggests echoes of alternative, and sometimes catches cycles and gives flashbacks of techno and minimal grooves.
