As a composer, pianist, and session musician. Yevhenii’s music combines neo-soul, ECM jazz, fusion, classical, and electronics. Yevhenii leads the Yevhenii Dubovyk Project, a jazz quartet that occasionally performs with an extended lineup. Shaped by his academic compositional education and collaboration with renowned Ukrainian artists, Yevhenii's work strikes a balance between improvisation and a defined form.
Yevhenii Dubovyk graduated from the Ukrainian National Music Academy in 2021 (Department of Composition) in the class of Ivan Taranenko. Previously, he studied as a jazz pianist at Chernihiv Music College.
Since the end of 2021, he has been working on his own jazz composer project “Yevhenii Dubovyk Project”, which has recorded and released seven instrumental singles and one piano EP.
In 2024, Yevhenii Dubovyk Project performed at the following Ukrainian festivals: Atlas Unity, Fusion Jams, V'YAVA Unity, and Charity Courage Jazz. They also took part in YouTube projects: Blue Lizard, GRAM Live.
